Our Founder:

 

Committed to being the voice of the voiceless and fighting for the rights of the underprivileged, Sonya McKinzie has always been passionate about helping others.  Sonya often volunteers her time and efforts to community outreach efforts and is always willing to roll up her sleeves and get her hands dirty. She was given a spiritual vision to launch the Women of Virtue Transitional Foundation in 2016, and she did not yield when she moves to bring the organization to fruition. As a second-generation survivor of abuse, Sonya knows personally how it feels when the odds are against you. 

Sonya holds as Master of Arts degree in Human Services Counseling, Communications and Public Relations and a Bachelor's in Business Administration. She is an ICF™  Certified Life Coach and holds certifications as a Victim's Advocate. 

A second generation domestic violence survivor of domestic violence, she applies her education and experience to fulfilling her passion and purpose to help survivors renew their self-image, regain their voices and power. 

 

Sonya is also known for trademarking one of the most powerful words spoken, ThriveHER , a POWERFUL monumental movement known for empowering survivors to Soaring towards Thriving! 

 

Her book "ThriveHER  " personifies the true element in every form and fashion. ThriveHER  has been applied to many of Sonya's hosted Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Programs, Coaching Sessions, self-published book, and educational resources.  

 

Her overall goal has been to help those in need with moving from victim to survivor in order to thrive and achieve their purpose in life as a ThriveHER .
